January skin detox

After drinking my weight in alcohol and stuffing my face with an unlimited supply of chocolate roses over Christmas, my skin had taken a turn for the worse 👎🏻. I have struggled with epidermal acne my whole teenage life and unfortunately my skin still beilive’s  I’m a pre-pubescent teen !!! I beg to differ, pretty sure I’m 22…

I’ve been on all sorts of medication since the age of 12. From the pill to antibiotics and to the more potent – roaccutane. In all honesty, I dislike taking drugs when it’s not completely and utterly necessary. I would rather spend a little money on products and be a little patient.

I am also extremely anal about my skin. I have that really annoying skin type, Yeno that one that is – combination/ dry/ oily/ sensitive. Yeah, so that’s cool 👍🏽😒 Because of this I cleanse, tone and moisturise in the morning and before bed. I try to avoid wearing makeup when I don’t need to and I exfoliate and use masks once a week.

I take great interested in skincare and have been for a very long time. I read review after review on every product I buy. from lip balm to skin peels. I also read all the ingredients in the products to make sure they are suited to my skin type. I am also a trained aesthetician and have been for 4 years. I have worked in my mums salon, well since I can remember… Maybe 12. So I’d like to think I have some sort of Experiance 🙂

I would just like to take this opportunity to show that even models have bad skin and it takes a lot of effort for me to get that dewy/ glowing/ youthful skin that few lucky ducks already have… Bas***eds !!! Lol. But with the right diet/ skincare and water intake you should just about get by. (that’s what I keep telling myself)🤗

Here’s the products that I’m currently using …

Step one – remove makeup off face and eyes. This is ESSENTIAL ! See when people just cleanse without removing their makeup first 😨. Cleanser has to be in direct contact with your skin for you to get any benefits off the ingredients. If not you will still have makeup left on your skin! So remove with wipes or makeup remover first or double cleanse (cleanse twice). I use Bioderma micellar water for sensitive/dry skin because I find the sensitive one dries out the skin a little. This product is found in just about every makeup artists kit. I’ve used Garnier/ La Roche pose/ Avene/ Caudalie but this one I keep going back to! Please avoid buying this in any shops across the uk as Boots are selling it for £10 for a small bottle ! You can buy two MASSIVE bottles in Paris for like €12 or online here > Bioderma

Step two – now I’m partial to a fancy cleanser usually purchased in my favourite shop of all time – Space NK. Buttttttttttt I’ve been using a sensitive cleanser from the doctor. It’s pretty basic stuff and seems to be working.

step three – I’ve been using these stunning facial pads by ‘Zo skin health’ which I have had my eye on for a while. These pads contain salicylic acid which helps to exfoliate and lift dead skin cells.

I will show you a before and after treatment selfie once I’ve finished the course of the treatment :). I sometimes cut the pads in half if I feel like my skin doesn’t need the full Bhuna (full works). The pads can be purchased here > Zo skin health

Step four – Liz Earle skin repair moisturiser. Love myself some basic Liz earl products. This is the second time I’ve purchased this moisturiser as doesn’t aggravate my skin and it gives my just enough moisture without looking to greasy or too dry… FML. Here’s the website > Liz Earle

Step five – drink as much water as humanly possible or as doctors would say ‘2 litres’. I struggle to drink water. I actually don’t really like it tbh but it has to be done. Wish I could say the same for alcohol but that would by LYING.

I’ve just realised how much I’ve written and I’m actually boring myself now. Sorry to anyone reading this. I’m not going to proof read it either cause I’m badass/ really lazy. This is actually the longest thing I’ve ever written in my puff ! God if I could show this to Mr Docherty (my English teacher).

Thanks for listening x

Earthy tones

It’s January and the only way to hit the blues is  by fighting back with some earthy colour from my wardrobe.

I’m getting fed up of this weather ❄️

French blue biker jeans –  All Saints

Burnt orange long v-neck jumper with side slits – Zara

Black leather longline biker jacket – Topshop

Leopard print scarf – Louis Vuitton

Damien Ebene Canvas bag, speedy 30 – Louis Vuitton

Annnd relax.

Monday has got to be the worst day of the week. The previous weekend seems like a distant memory and the weekend ahead is already organised and in the diary… In my case, Filofax. Then, you painfully count down the hours till you get to Friday 5pm. Why do we do this to ourselves?!
I have decided to start my week the right way.
Adding a few drops of bath oils help to de-stress and revive body and mind. It works !
Some of my favourites are:

REN – Morocco rose otto bath oil
Aromatherapy associates – love all bath oils
Jo Malone – White jasmine and mint
Neal’s yard – geranium and orange organic bath oil.

Excuse my HUGE toes! Happy Monday folks.

Statement shoes

I never like to make too much fuss and generally wear black most days.

Black is a colour that never goes out of fashion. It never looks ugly or fussy. Black is clean, sharp and expensive without the extravagant £££ price tag. I recommend buying a good quality T-shirt as they don’t bobble as quickly as  cheaper branded T-shirts. Look for fabric that is 100% lyocell. I bought a T-shirt from Zara a year ago and it hasn’t Bobbled (RESULT). Screen Shot 2014-09-21 at 22.14.23

To add a bit of “piazzas”…

Everyone needs a little bit of leopard print in their life! These boots are from Zara A/W 2014 collection. I don’t know about you but I love them ❤

Hello friends

Its 2.30am and I can’t get a wink of sleep so, I am going to attempt at making my first EVER Blogpost (S.O.S).

What many people don’t know is that I spend most of my waking life looking for the latest trends online, inevitably ending up on vogue.com or lusting over “whats new” on net-A-porter. This blog is the remnants of that, and the fact that I probably have far too much time on my hands. It’s kind of cliché that I am some sort of aesthetician/model/blogger, if there ever was such a thing but why not show you my understanding of fashion. Heck, I’m bored anyway…
